Flood Watch Over (for now)
Johnny Nash
Jimmy Cliff
So, we made it through the weekend without any water! I couldn't decide which version that I liked better. Since the flood watch is over, I figured that I'd just post 'em both. If I had to pick, I'd choose the Johnny Nash version - but that's just me.
It's nice to see clearly now the rain is gone!! I'm also thrilled that the "abbey" didn't grace us with her potentially treacherous presence this past weekend. About the two clip versions...The Johnny Nash version reminds me of how great it is to be sitting under "blue skies" (by the way, doesn't he look fab singing w/ mic by a picturesque fountain!), where the Jimmy Cliff version reminds me that many obstacles can be overcome. Therefore, the Jimmy Cliff version holds more relevance for me (and us) today! I mean, those bobsledders had a lot of obstacles to overcome...and they certainly did overcome them! Let's hope that we can overcome the obstacles of our country's financial difficulties.
Again... note how Karma works. You guys were completely spared your water woes this weekend & you are right next to the Abby... our neighbors were not so lucky :) Keep up the good work!
Our extended family: brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, parents, grandparents, in-laws, nieces, nephews and any other family member willing to contribute. We're hoping to share our witty banter with the world. The challenge will be getting everyone to participate.
